Here's one for you.

I just had a new Bridgestone 705 installed on the front. The good news is that the front end wobble is gone that we talked about in another post.

New problem...If I let go of the bars the bike leans left then starts a turn left. SO...I Loosened the axle pinch bolts and had a buddy pump the front end against a curb (no front brake) and then tighten again. It helped a little. (I'll do it again)

The only thing I can think is that I'm getting some friction in a bearing or something that's creating some gyroscopic precession exerting a torque that leans the bike. (Kinda like a motorcycles countersteering)

Any ideas.

Your fork sliders are probabley slightly mis-aligned a little. Even though you re-did the pinch bolts, you might have put a washer or spacer in a different spot on the axle than it was when you took it off. It's usually a small thing that happens to cause that. I haven't replaced my tires yet so I don't have the experience with the Nomad but I remember past bikes that needed the fork sliders wiggled as I put the axle bolt back in and it could easily get mis-aligned.

I thought you might be a left leaning liberal bob!

Try taking all of the stuff out of your left pocket and putting it in your right pocket. Maybe that's causing the lean. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Never heard of this happening. I'm looking forward to hearing the cause of the problem.

Maybe it's compensating for my tendency to lean right!

I used to work on gyro's for United Airlines and it took very little friction to cause one to precess (lean). Like BD said maybe jiggling and forcing the axle in slightly misaligned something.

I think I'll loosen the axle, bounce the forks, and retorque all. Thanx gang
