The link below will take you to a page to request a free brochure on Scenic Highways & Byways. The site is a little misleading though. The "brochure" is actually a 464 page guide published by National Geographic (cover price is $25.00). The guide gives a brief overview & map of the top 275 drives in the US.

Not quick shipping, but no cost, so the price is right and you'll have it all winter to browse through and plan next summer's rides.

Thanks Beez, it should get here around the time snow flies.
Give me something else to do this winter.
Put 12,000 miles on the Nomad this season. Still only rode 3/4 of the trips I planned last winter.

Well at least you are getting something for your tax dollar this time.
If you worry about everything your tax dollar is spent on you will be pretty stressed.

One of the biggest industries is tourism. People traveling to different areas is good for the economy and worth every penny of our tax dollars that were invested. So many people go out of the country for vacations. So if more money was kept at home (USA), because of info sent by request, it more than pays for itself.

So don't worry.......be happy. ;) http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif

Ordered mine today

There is a website (don't remember it now) where you can get all kinds of information/books/pamphlets for free from the government. I am sure a google for free gov info would reveal it.

I am sure most of the printing is wasted tax-dollars though due to lack of distribution. Most just don't know about the free info.

thanks for the heads up. Ordered mine since I'm always happy to see my tax dollars hard at work (for my benefit) rather than loafing http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I saw this on another board a while back and ordered it. It came in about a week ago. Not Bad, especially for the price.
