Travel Plans for 2009

Ok, I know it's early but it is cold and windy today. Just thought I would look at what I might try to do next year.


DFW Hill Country Ride April 30-May 3

Kawanow June 16-18

VROC Eureka Springs Sept 16-21.

What are your plans or hopes for next year???

International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE), Las Vegas Mar 18-20

Retake the Ride Like a Pro Class, April or May (free refresher class if taken within a year, so why not do it again)

Black Hills and who knows what else most of June. Two or three weeks.

Defcon, Las Vegas Jul 31 - Aug 2

Association Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO), Las Vegas Aug 16 - 20

Okay, looking at this I am going to be a bit bored by the 3rd trip to Vegas. At least the two or three weeks in June will be relaxing.

and any other place I can fit in before or after those.

I do a lot of small charity rides throughout the season but the main will be:
Black Hills in June - 3 days at the rally and the rest of the week varies
Gonna try to talk the wife into another trip later in the summer as well

National Rally

3 day trip through Idaho and Montana

At least 1 overnighter to see the guys in Colorado.

Haven't finalized yet,but I'm trying nto work out a 30 day ride next spring that will cover about 6000 miles.

Taking one extended trip next that I plan to be on the road at least 4 weeks. The only thing I know for sure is I'm going south to the blue ridge mountain area, and there-abouts, heading west and making sure I hit a few target states such as CO, ID, MT, and UT, and there-abouts. AND THERE-ABOUTS...............Don't know if I'll come back through the US or Canada.

I don't know if the timing will be good for the rally at Custer yet.

Depends on economy picking up. Either going to do the Lake Michigan loop or if things get better Florida, the Keys, and as many states as I can pick up in the process.
