WOLFMAN MY HATS OFF TO YOU. ALL MY FREINDS ARE MY AGE AND ALL RIDE SPORTBIKES AND BAR HOPPERS. THEY CALL MY BIKE THE OLD MAN BIKE. BUT ALL THERE GIRLFREINDS WANT TO CLIMB ON THE BACK OF MINE AFTER ABOUT 25 MILES ON THERE BOYFREINDS BIKE. THAT SHOULD TELL YOU SOMPTHING. WE GOT IT FIGURED OUT!!!
NOMAD: BIG,WIDE AND LOW. BAD ASS. THERES NO SUBSTITUTE. DONT LAUGH AT MY SPELLING. RIDE ON MAN
You got a sweet ride! I liked your last pick with the passenger seat off that looked cool. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The old farts are smart! I guess the smartest ones would be the goldwingers because their the oldest! (I still like to have a little style though.....not too keen on the goldwing looks)
It ain't me...I'm 52 going on 97. But when I'm riding my Nomad, I feel like I'm 17!
I'm 47, so it looks like I'm in the typical range.

Well, I am almost 54. I have been riding since I was 8. Came close to getting a Goldwing when I was ready for a trade up on my last bike. Then I walked across the street to the Kawasaki dealer and really liked the look of the Nomad. That was the 04. I opted to wait until the 05s came out for the bigger engine. Power is everything when chasing semis down the freeway. But then again, you youngsters still do not know the fine art of drafting.

I told my bride of 23 yrs that it was midlife crisis time before I bought mine. Had to choose between a motorcycle and a mistress. Chose the bike because I could be seen riding the Nomad in the street without losing half of everything I owned plus child support.

I'm 53 and plan on riding mine till I cant ride anymore. Hope this Nomad lasts another 40 years or so. I dont know about the rest of you old farts but I couldn't even afford a bike like this when I was younger and raising kids. So if you are the youngest feel fortunate. Dave momadwest

I was 34 in 2002 when I bought my 2002 Nad and I also bought a 2002 MeanStreak a few months later so I have the best of both worlds.
The Nad is for comfort on the longer trips and the Streak is for when I just want to play close to home.

That's a good point. I didn't even consider buying a bike until my kids were raised. My youngest is almost 17, and my next youngest is almost 24. It can be an expensive hobby, in terms of finances and time. Most folks with young kids probably don't have much of each to spare.

53. So I'm out of the running.
Had a Concours for a year previously. Didn't/couldn't get either until the kids were grown. My son (20) bought a black 1500 Classic, and I got the Nomad so we'd have the same style bikes, and because I love the way they look and ride. We have had a blast riding together. (Although he in his youthful ignorance thinks his is cooler.)

Way to go Bob! I want to still be riding when in my 60's - so going to try and eat more healthy and exercise. (currently 55 rs old).
I'm a young 24 years old, slim and trim, 6-pack with pythons for byceps......all because of the Nomad............
Had you girls frothing for a minute, huh?

Your lucky Wolfman, your young enough to enjoy your Nomad without most of the aches and pains that we have aquired. And the old farts you hang around with can probably teach you a thing or two, like riding a Nomad is a lot more comfortable than a sportbike.
I was 57 when I got my Nomad.
