I feel responsible to warn you that it looks like we will be riding behind a snow storm in the Sierra's this Saturday. The temperatures will be from a of low 30* on Saturday to a high of 48* on Sunday with "blustery winds".

This is BITTER cold on a motorcycle. Please make sure you are equipped to handle the cold. This means thick insulated leather gloves, insulated jackets, & chaps. If you don't have them, glove liners are effective with your gloves. You can get them at any sporting goods store that sells hunter's supplies, & I highly recommend them. A face mask would be recommended too.

The run is still a go. Please keep a watch on the weather for Lake Tahoe area.

Valdez has changed the route to bypass Hope Valley on Saturday. The plan is to return thru it on Sunday when the weather is predicted to warm up.....-Rich

After Mesquite it sounds like you're really putting your bike through the tempature extremes!

It looks like the forecast is improving for Markleeville, aka Hope Valley. Yesterday they were calling for a high temp of 30 for tomorrow. Now it says a high of 45 for tomorrow & get this, 50 on Sunday.

At this rate we'll be in shorts & shirt sleeves by Sunday afternoon........-Rich
