What is the biggest (fattest) tire that can be installed on the rear without any modifications? ???

I hear a 180 metzeler ME880 i believe.
Doc's right. 180's as big as you can go w/o rubbing.

Definatel the 180 is the biggest and you have to fit the rim back on the bike with the tyre deflated.

The 180 is the fattest, but is a little taller too.

Wow, I didn't know that. doesen't that make the clearence of the inflated tire really close to rubbing when you hit a bump? Or do I not understand the basics of suspension? ??? It wouldn't be the first time I didn't understand something :-[
160 is the biggest I could go on my '99 1500..... came stock with a 150. Got the GL1500 Metzeler ME 880 Goldwing tire. :)

Thanks guys. I'll go with the 180 and let the tire man inflate and deflate. LOL
I forgot to mention I have the 07.
