I was in Missoula today on biz....not on my bike. But waht a great looking area to ride. No traffic, 75MPH speed limit, no helmet law (although I always wear), and lots of great snaking highways through the hills. I will be back on my bike! Totally off topic but has anyone hear eaten at 5 guys Famous burgers? Never heard of it but franchises are available and was wondering what people think of them? I guess they are big in the east??

Don't know about the burgers, but that is an incredible area for riding. If ya head north out of Missoula up 93 the scenery is unbelievable. You can also take 200 northwest into Idaho for a great ride.

Don't know about the burgers either, but I've ridden in the Missoula area as well. It is a gorgeous place to ride, and I remember being extremely impressed with the quality of the roads. Both the interstate and highways were very nice to ride on. My friend and I took a tour of Montana two summers ago when we went to Glacier, and I was very impressed with the Missoula area.

I haven't had one of those burgers either, but have been to the Missoula/Hamilton area three times and love it. I would love to ride North to the Glacier National Park next time I get out there.

I've spent a lot of time on Montana, but have never made it to Missoula. I like it up there, it truly is Big Sky Country!

Missoula sounds nice. I'll be going through Montana to get to the National next summer in June. I'll be looking fwd. to it.
As far as the burgers go, I haven't heard of them either but I'm going to "Google" the name. I'm always interested in opportunities.

I haven't made it to Montana yet, but have had the burger. Not bad at all. I like those freshly cut shoestring fries too.

Kawgirl, the road to Montana goes through Nebraska. Oh, the road to Custer does too.

If any of you are ever in Butte, MT - go to "Pork Chop Johns" and have yourself a world-famous pork chop sandwich. Mmmmmm' good! THey are a local delicacy.

Take 93/12 SW out of Missoula, past Lolo Hot Springs, over Lolo Pass into Idaho along the Lochsa River. Steep mountainsides covered with old conifers and cedars, the river is crystal clear. Lots of twistie roads. Absolutely beautiful country.

Was in Missoula back in Jr. High...but it was beautiful. 5 Guys has a franchise in Ocala, it is ok.
