10 states, 9 Days and 3,100 miles. Had a blast. Left TN to go through KY, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan including the UP, touch Canada, over to Wisconsin, Minnesota,Iowa,Illinois,Missouri,KY and back to TN. Everything I hoped for. Mostly beautiful weather, just a little rain 2 mornings that we rode out of by lunch each time. Link to pics below including shots at "The Gay Bar". http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif

Nice pics. Too bad you did not let me know you were cruising through. Would have gladly ridden part of the way into Wisconsin with you.

The UP is a great place to ride, and I see you made it to the Gay Bar... the most photographed sign in the U.P.!

I was there on the 4th of July; they had a parade in that town that shut it down. Not sure where all the people came from.

They like their beer so they sold beer on all four corners of the intersection where the Gay Bar sits since no one could cross the roads to get to the Gay Bar during the parade.

The temp that day was a cool 70 degrees in the sun and the locals thought they were in a "heat-spell". With 300 inches of snow each year; I guess I could see why.

Great photos Dave! Looks like some gorgeous country up there. I'm not used to seeing so much green. Around here, it's brown, reddish-brown, and more brown.

That was some great trip Dave! I really enjoyed the pics. Brings back lots of memories for a Southern Michigan native. Vacationed and went deer hunting in the UP when I was a kid. Spent a couple years in the UP stationed at Kinchloe AFB near Sault Ste. Marie. Side note. . . Lake Superior does not warm up enough to swim in! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Thanks for sharing your trip!

Nice pics Dave. Lived in Harbor Springs, just South of Mackinaw for 32 years. Went to College in Sault Ste. Marie for a couple of years and did alot of umpiring for softball tournments in the UP as well.

It is amazing that such small towns can attract so many people.
