i am getting ready to trade my blk/slvr 2005 nomad with 33,000 miles on it for a 2008 red/blk (new) my old bike had v/h baggers and power commander. luggage rack kuryakin grips and brand new metzler tires front and rear. plus new brakes front and rear. the bike is in excellent shape. what would be a fair price to ask for it...? anyone

I paid $6300.00 for my '01 with 13,500 miles on it. It was stock except for a brake away cruise. You will have to adjust for more miles, but 4 years newer.
Hope this helps, Bill

Hi, Here in Canada it would be worth around $9000/$9500.
It sounds like it is just the way most people would want one, so my question is, why sell it ?

i never keep a bike longer than 3 years, plus i like the red/blk. and the red is faster than the blk/slvr.

On a trade,9,ooo.
Privately not a whole lot more.
But it always comes back to the market in your area. ;)

Nada says 7300 for the low and 9400 for the high. I would think a $8995 price would be a fair price with the extras you have. I typically don't like to squeeze every nickel out of selling a used car or bike....just want to get it done!

Yeah, you may have to knock it down a little for the slower colors...it is the RED, not the black, that makes it fast!
Something that may help is to check what '05 Nomad's are doing on E-bay. Are you going to sell it yourself or trade it in?

you come out better on a private sale. trade-ins are notorious for getting low dollar. for whats its worth i paid 7600.00 for my 03 with 17k on the clock....it did have some aftermarket stuff on it though. either way, good luck.

Check with the dealer and see what he will give for a trade in. Metric bikes in Vegas are not fetching a high dollar. I finally got rid of mine for $5,500.00. Mine was an 05 blue/silver with 28,000 miles. I put it back to stock to sell it. Because of that, members have benefited from the parts I took off.

Prices depend on your area, gas prices, and time of year. Learned that real good this year when I was looking and bought my '03 in Orlando, flew down from Nashville, and rode back up. Got it for $5800 in June. May/June seems to be the best time to sell here in Nashville (but not the best time to buy).
I'm wondering if you wait until around Jan. you might get top dollar for trade in because used ones seemed to sell better this year than new ones, and you might get a great deal on the remaining '08.

And you all just keep smoking whatever you're smoking, blondie is fastest.

I must admit to not catching blondes but that was by choice. I like to stay so far ahead I'm behind em and they think they're winning.
