Ah, I recognize that section of road. Looks like you've stopped for a break along the Au Sable. I've been on that road quite a bit. Once in a while on a bike but, mostly, while driving a big 'ole bus. That's a little bit 'o heaven, let me tell ya. Especially in the winter during, or after, a snow. Can be pretty hard on a transmission when fully loaded too.

I'll take the bike any day. I wish I was there. But, for my consolation prize, I'm off on Friday and taking a nice little trip down, through and around Bear Mountain, Stony Point and West Point.

Nice photos, I see the leaves are all still green. I haven't been in the mountain's much this summer. Don't know if they are starting to change high up or not yet.

Thanks for the photos

The leaves were starting to change a very little in some places. We are going to take the trip again in a month to see the fall colors. Then comes winter snow :'(

Please take pics . I grew up in Cold Spring, across the river from west point and bear mt. I am so jealous of you right now. LOL Maybe I can make that trip, the next time I get back to NY.
