I have been trying to decide what to do about the fenders, you know....chrome rail, tips or no. I finally have decided on a rear fender tip (I still have to order it) and some simple chrome trim on the front.

I just bought a 10' strip of 3/8" chrome door trim molding. It took me about 20 minutes (including a 5 minute yak on my cell phone) to add a little love to the front fender! It is not one continuous piece, but two.

There is a little indentation in the fender even with the fork. Start there and work a piece around the front to the other fork. Then do the same going around the back of the fender. This was the tougher of the two...but not bad.

I used my wife's garden snips to cut the stuff...it worked perfectly for that!

I can't take credit for this as I saw it on Gadget's page, but I did like it a bunch so I did it to my bike as well. The photo on Gadget's page doesn't do it justice...it looks much better here.

That does add a nice bit of bling to the fender, looks good. Another inexpensive piece of bling is to go to the dealer and order part # 11065-1099. It is the "CHROME swingarm pivot cover" for an '03 Mean Streak. It is chrome (plastic) and when I got mine it was $1.98 + tax. You just pop out your black cover, and pop in your new chrome one.

I bought a 10' roll (said 9.5 on the package) at Schuck's Auto Parts. I can't remember exactly how much $$ it was as bought some other stuff too, but it was pretty inexpensive.

I wanna know how you keep that front wheel so clean and shiny?? I never have enough time to get in there and really scrub mine clean. What did you use?
