Was preparing for my flight next weekend to pick up my new to me Nomad. Packing as light as possible, but taking riding/traveling essentials, I found my helmet took up quite a bit of room in my smaller than regulation carry on bag. My wife called United airlines and asked if a helmet could be carried on as a personal item. Such as a laptop, purse, etc. After several minutes of being on hold, she was informed that the helmet is considered a personal item. Leaving more room in the carry on for essentials. Just passing on this info for anyone planning to carry a helmet on an airplane. Heck, if anyone asks, I'll just say I always bring a helmet on an airplane---Just in case!

I will post a blog and pics of the trip there and the ride back. Looking forward to posting and learning as a new Nomad owner!

I had never thought of this before on a Plane. With the way Airlines are charging for everything, i surprised they didn't charge you to take it.

I never thought about it but maybe you could just wear the sucker. Tell them it's your hat. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif Or tell them your doctor has said you must wear it until the hole heals in the top of your head where they did the brain transplant. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
