I am thinking about getting the seat modification done on my nomad, this winter.Spencer's Moto Care is the name of the vendor that i plan on using.Has any one had this done? The cost will be about $125.00 Is this mod worth the money spent?
http://greatdaytoride.com is the site.I was told that a mustang seat will not work with the stock sissy bar and grab rails on the nomad?

I got my seat back from Spencer's a little while ago, and it's a definite improvement. I asked him to lower it a little. I can tell by the top of the windshied that I'm lower. Not a whole lot, but some. I got the Supcor (sp?) material put in as well, and got the back seat redone with the normal material. Cost $100 plus shipping to and from. My first big ride, I did a lot longer in comfort than I had done before. 200 miles. It's been a while since I took long rides on any bike, so I still have to break my tush back in as well, but before I was getting sore spots after only 20-30 miles.

Spencer is a great guy to talk with (at least via email). We went back and forth a few times, and he laid out very clearly what my options were.

oldbiker (Wayne) also had the Spencer mod done.
He has since sold the Nomad and went to Harley but I'm confident he would give you some input if you sent PM.

Thanks nighthawk....the Supcor sounds like the way to go on the seat.

I had Spencer work on my seat earlier this year and his work is great. However, it didn't do enough for me and I ended up with a Corbin. His service and quality is exceptional, but there is only so much you can do to the stock seat and I'm afraid it just wasn't enough.

I have a 2006 and have a Mustang seat. It works great with the stock grab rails and sissy bar...

Well it's good to know the mustang seat works with the stock grab rails and sissy bar. Has anyone herd if ultimate seats are making seats for the nomad yet?

According to their website, the Nomad seats will be out in mid October.
