I bought my bike used and not having any problems (knock on wood) but I was wondering about a possible warranty. Here are my questions for anyone that might have any input.
Did the 2003 come with a 5 year warranty standard? If so does it start when it was purchased by the original owner? Does it automatically stay with the bike?
If mine does not a have a warranty still in effect can I buy one? Probably wouldn't but would like to have the option. Any ideas on cost?
How would I find out if there is any warranty? Being it is 5 years old (based on model year) I doubt a warranty is in effect but if the original owner paid for one I would sure like to have the remaining time.
Thanks for any info.

Try going here > (http://www.kawasaki.com/DefaultFrame.aspx?strContentURL=/SITE/VIVEHICLEINFORMATION/VICHOOSEVEHICLE.ASP) and entering your VIN number. It may tell you the warranty status of your bike.

Most dealers offer an extended service plan rather than any kind of warranty. Personally I dont like letting them touch it if I can prevent it. The benefit is that if you buy the service plan then they do all the work so if something breaks it is usually covered because they touched it but you are still with out bike.

The extended warranty has to be purchased before the original 2 year warranty runs out. So if the original owner bought the extended warranty, you're good Schoeney, because it transfers to the new owner.
If not, your out of luck, have to buy it before the original runs out.

Just checked my VIN and found that my 07 Nomad has the Good Times Protection till 4/28/13... I didn't know that and no mention was made when I bought the bike used this last spring. They only said the factory warranty was good till 4/29/09. This was good info to know...thanks for the post.
