Brad: I have a troubleshooter question for you. It has been listed numerous times by quite a few riders in previous threads. its the annoying radiator noise. Mine has done it for 2 yrs since new. Mainly does it when declerating in 1st or 2nd gears. it sounds tinny(metal) maybe against metal. Somebody said to pad the bug screen in front of the radiator(which I did with door edge guard) and it did not help. I believe its the bug screen vibrating as wind goes through it and the bike is slowing down or bug screen touching the radiator. Its NOT bug screen touching radiator frame. I never hear it at any other times. i do not see anything else loose that might be doing it. it could not be the radiator/screen but thats my best guess. What does ole Lord Brad think the fix might be?? http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif Thanks ahead of time.

It's just your imagination. You actually hearing the "true" rpm of your motor which is very slow on the highway. 80mph is only about 3100 rpms which is crawling. Corked up it sounds busier than uncorked.

PIA removing screen. When I installed my aluminum grill cover, I had to disconnect the top hose of the radiator and partially remove it to get at the screws holding the stock screen on.

good info jayc, i thought only 4 screws held the screen and i was hoping you did not have to remove anything else. Oh well.

VIN: i love that idea, brads garage, it would be a better place to place questions and get answers back without weighting down the general forum. Go forth, bradley

And you really think Nico will not "taint" it with his obsessive porn ?'s Trip would have to create a folder called Brad's Garage and block Nico and Sue from accessing it!!!! Otherwise it's a bad idea!!!!!!!

In all seriouness....and not directing to any certain individuals....cutting up is one thing and fine....but I sure hate it when an unexpected nudity pic shows up on a thread in other than the off Nomad Forum. I'm afriad to open any threads at work or around mixed company for fear of something unexpected popping up that may offend someone. Thought I would only have to be careful of that in the 'jokes/etc - off subject - adult subject' forum. But they do pop up from time to time in other threads on the General forum (Nomad only forum) etc. Just my $.02 worth. Peace.

I will have to say I agree with Unwind2 on the nude pics showing up in threads that would not be expected for the topic given. I too, would like to see the pics stay in the jokes/ XXX thread.
I think the Brad's Garage thread suggestion is an excellent idea.

Yep, nudity needs to stay in its own closet. Oh, and G-strings count as nudity. Maybe Trip could start an X-rated chat room for those who want to enter that kind of place if someone really feels the need. I would hope that we can do without it. I've read info from moderators of other sites and they are adamant about this kind of thing not being allowed on their sites because of the negative impact. I should have spoken up sooner. Idaho

Thanks Idaho. We should lighten up on poor Nico everyone. He was in Porn rehab that month when he was AWOL and I know he's backpeddled some with his postings. He is scheduling for castration he knows he so desperately needs and hopefully he will return to some sort of normalcy.

Chemical or Surgical? Of course if it's surgical, he goes from a Nomad rider to a No-Nad rider.

There will always be some form of bewilderment when a new person enters a forum that has been running for any length of time, simply because they were not there in the beginning. There's not much that can be done about it except to go back and look through old threads (tedious to say the least) or to ask someone about the jokes. I think our jokes actually add flavor simply because they demonstrate human involvement ourside of the forum as well as genuine interaction.

Honestly, if some of the new people get lost, they have the opportunity to ask some of us older folks here about those inside jokes. There's nothing we say that is so intimate that anyone would be intruding on anything, not to mention, it would allow them to add their own flavor to the mix. My 2cw
