Hey all. I need alittle help from you Nomad owners with fairings. I'm ready to buy and install one but just dont know where i can get one with BRACKETS ready to mount. All I want is the outer fairing and dont want the radio/speakers etc. I have seen some sites that sell them but there all with radios and stuff. I would like the 8 inch dark tint or clear shield that goes on top. Any help with web sites on where you got yours and where to buy would be awesome. I looked on ebay but could only find the ones for $1499 with radio's ARRHGG! I'm trying to keep it under $800 if I can. Plus I will get it painted here locally to match my silver and green 06 nomad. Thanks for any help ;).

http://vulcanbrackets.com/ This is where i got my brackets. If you order from him be patient. His brackets are excellent, fit perfectly.

http://www.fastaire.com/windshields.html I ordered 3 windshields from them. They are good quality, good price & very fast shipping.

My fairing i got off ebay. If you use the brackets i bought that web site will tell you what years work with his brackets.

www.premeux.com (http://www.premeux.com) offers an unpainted fairing for $875. Click on "New Releases". The one for the 1600 classic should bolt right up, and if you dont want a radio, just use it's space for storage. Comes with the brackets, and 10" windshield. Just another option you could consider.

I was surfing the web today and ran across another fairing for Nomads. When I got mine, you only had about 3 choices, Premeux, Radio Caddy, or adapt a Harley, now there are a few to choose from. Here's the latest one I've found. Hope it helps someone.

How goes it with your search? I may have a fairing with brackets available if you're interested.

First, a quick "Hello" to everyone on the board! I have lurked your site for a while and learned a lot here, as well as from Gadget's site. Thanks to Trip and the members for all the info I've gleaned.
Now, just to add some additional news to spirello's post... I am also in the process of changing things to my 2004 Nomad and have been in contact with Wide Open about their fairings. Yesterday the lady there told me that a new/hitech stereo and speaker upgrade was now available. It will greatly improve or eliminate the skipping problem of the CD and provide better audio. The good part is it's only a $100 charge.
Also, she told me that they were working on the mold for lower fairings and they should be out soon.
Thanks again for all the info I've stolen thus far. LOL

Welcome from a fellow newbie, Mike! This forum looks great - they live, breathe, talk, and spend on Nomads lol! I think we're gonna have fun.
