The first KawaNOW East/West summit has taken place (I think ??)
Had a business trip out to Vegas and hangon702 was good enough to give some suggested rides and even volunteered to be a guide for the day (Really had to twist his arm to get him to go riding http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif). Luckily the only time a business friend of mine and I would have to ride was timed perfectly on his day off.
Had to rent from Harley so my friend got a Heritage Soft Tail, which was really a little to big for her, and I got an Electra-Glide thinking it was about the biggest thing they had....wow, felt like I was riding a minibike compared to the Nomad...and I think the color was babysh*t green.....but the tunes were nice riding through the dessert. By the way...the Electa-Glide was just as noisy, if not more, than the Nomad...just a different engine noise ... it had stock pipes too.
Met up with hangon702 at the Harley shop and he was kind enough to hang around the lot while we did all the paperwork.... Then led us on a great ride out by Lake Mead and the Valley of Fire and back down into Vegas. I think we rode about 160 - 180 miles...the scenery for us east coast/southern folks was incredible. hangon702 can probably tell you exactly where we were and how far it was
Thanks to hangon702, what a great guy!! Nice bike too......of course I like it...it's black...and a Nomad!!! It goes to show that there are a lot of great folks on this site and it was fun to meet in person, and get to know, someone from here in person. Can't wait to meet more folks and revisit Vegas for another ride with him.
Here are a few of the pics I took....my friend is sending some more I will try to post too.
