View Full Version : FNG with the wrong kinda bike
Greetings all,
I figured that it was about time I quit lurking and introduced myself, My name is Josh and I live in Gualala, Ca. I met Valdez and his wife up at OIT-WWR and he mentioned the upcoming norcal nomads get together and it sounded like a blast. Now for the bad news, I don't ride a Nomad...I have a 1994 1500a which I love dearly. I have had my bike for just over a year and most of what I have done to it is comfort related. Anyhow just figured I would quit lurking in the shadows and show myself. Here is to meeting yall in the future.

ps I have no idea what my KawaNow number is as I cant' seem to find it
You must register on the home page to get a number. It's a different registration than when you registered on the forum.
well guess I will have to be numberless for awhile since it asks questions such as year of your nomad

Welcome josh. I wouldn't worry too much about not having a Nomad. We have a couple of guys at least that have sold their Nomads for either a Gold Wing or even a Harley! As far as I know, we haven't shunned them yet! :)

Do check out the national VROC forum and/or the Delphi VROC forums for input about your bike from others that have the same bike. It helps to know where to go if your having particular problems. Also check out Gadgets fixit page. Somebody give him a link. This is a great group.

You either need to own one; or wish you had one. We'll assume you wish you had one -- which is the next best thing to owning one.

Josh...
Hey there old friend. We keep bumping into each other all over the internet. Good to see you here on the KawaNOW board. It is one of my favorites. Same for Chuck Burt... we discussed it often.
Heck...as long as you ride a Kawasaki.... Hang around. Lots of us spend less time on the VROC board...since it is becoming a Goldwing/Harley board most times.... Chuck, me and others enjoyed the emphasis on Kawasaki motorcycles here....

Greg.....
Good to see you. I can see you have been very active here after your semi-departure from the Motorcycle USA board... this is the best place for Nomad owners anyway.....but Sheesh ...3533 posts in a few weeks is a lot. I thought I wuz verbose <G>. I plan to spend more time on this board...getting tired of all the Goldwing/Harley stuff on the VROC board. Nice folks/friends ride those bikes...and I love 'em... Just don't care about their rides !
I always enjoy your comments.... Hope to see you and your lovely bride in the High Sierras again...soon !

Welcome from Indiana. As I look at it, 1500 or 1600, they have the same mother. I've left all the other boards for this one long ago; not that I don't visit there, but I don't talk much. I started a firestorm on a board not too long ago and it got kinda nasty. Great, caring people here.
