Want bars up and back about an inch. I have read that the Aeromach risers seem to be the most popular. Does anyone know a good place to order them from? Also are all the stock cables long enough to move with them? Dave

Ordered mine from Aeormach. Cables are fine, will take awhile to get them. They are usually on back order. Worth the wait.

Yeah, I have them installed on my bike. They bring the bars up but not back much. They still helped relieve the discomfort in my shoulders I would get after 80 miles or so.

I gave up on Aeromach and went with the PhatRisers II from Scootworks.

Very happy with them.

I've seen those on ebay. Did you get the 4, 5, or 6"?

Let me know how it goes.

Actually, the ones I got only come in one size, they're just spacers that go on the stock risers. I only needed a little extra room, and for the price they're just right. I just put them on and the difference is subtle but noticeable.

I've been running with Phat II's from scootworks, they are a comfortable fit for me now as i am 5'8" 4"up & 2"back and i am using the off set holes not the center ones.

I've got Aeromach's on order myself - the stock bars are just a hair far away on tight turns for my comfort...

Hey Dave - Is there a reason you have the red reflectors on your front forks and the amber reflectors on your rear?

I put 2" aluminum spacers under my risers and it's much better, but I still want them back some.

got mine from Scootworks, worked out very well. 4" back dropped right in my hands. had to have my guy re-adjust bars after my accident - but no problems. Tried aeromach first, but they were on back order and didn't want to wait. In fact, scootworks didn't have the plain chrome based on my order preference, but the sent ones with flames at no extra cost. Good customer service

I made my own 2" risers have worked very well for 4yrs- and am considering buying some new bars that would have a 2" rise with 1" pull back .I found that replacing the bars would be cheaper.

OK, so now I've done a couple rides with the new risers and notice a lot more vibration on less than perfect roads. I understand why, but was curious if anyone with the Phat or Aeromach risers noticed any additional vibration? Thanks!

The 1600 Nomad bars: 8" height, 34.5" wide, 14" pullback, 7" center.

06-07 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Delux: 8" hi, 33 " wide, 16.5" pullback, 8" center.

I already have 2" spacers under my risers, so height is good. These Yamaha bars may give me the extra pullback I want, if I could gert a pair cheap. New they're more expensive than risers.

Make sure you have them torqued properly. I haven't noticed any additional vibration.

The best purchase I have made for the Nomad is:

Scootworks
Road Glide Style Bar
FL 650-08763
$123.45

It sits on top of Pfat Risers and all control cables fit after installation. I had to shorted the new bars about 1 1/2 " with the net result being 4" narrower and 2-3" back. I also had to drill a hole on right side for the controls to locate in. And...........install new grips.

I did ALOT of searching at Harley dealers and research on the web to find the bars and then had to buy them "blind", not knowing about the fitment. I am about 5'10 and the stock "plow bars" just made my rides absolutely miserable after an hour of riding. No problems now.

If you are interested I can make a pic of the old "plow bars" sitting above the new ones to show you the change.

One mistake in my post about changing the handlebars:

"It sits on top of Pfat Risers and all control cables fit after installation. I had to shorted the new bars about 1 1/2 " with the net result being 4" narrower and 2-3" back."

This was the change in handlebar position in addition to the Pfat Risers. When looking at the risers it looks like about a 2" movement back, the net result is approximately 5" back.

I have Phat II on mine no more vibration than stock. Their just what the Dr. ordered. Those risers and ride like a pro video are probably the 2 best things I bought for my bike.
