Yesterday my goodies arrived and I installed the top saddlebag rails, Kury ISO grips and a Vista Cruise. I have read in past posts where the glue Kury provides comes all dried up and useless and was telling my son this as we were installing. When glue time came, of course, I got one of these dried up bottles! Yammy dealer is closest so ran there and picked up some real glue. Kury uses glue in little plastic bottles and the glue at the Yammy dealer was in the little tubes, kind of like a mini toothpaste tube and they always seem to work. Kury has to be aware of this problem and should make a change!

Maybe if enough customers complain to their customer service they will do something. One can only hope.
Your bike looks great! I love that color scheme. Congrats on the new additions. :) :) :)

When I installed my grips (ISO's), the glue that came with them was OK (still liquid), but after several months, the left grip came loose. I went to the local Kawi/Yammy dealership and got a tube of "grip glue". Same story, after a couple of months, left grip came loose. I went to Lowes and got a small bottle of "gorilla glue" and used that. A year later, the grip is still rock solid. I hope I don't ever have to take that grip off.

I used the gorrilla glue on my kury grips, they are rock solid after over a year.

Kury ISO grips and a Vista Cruise.
I was going to post a question to this group asking if the Vista Cruise worked with the ISO grip. Any problems getting it on? If not, I'll go ahead and order (and get some grip glue from my local dealer just in case).

The Vista needs a little coaxing with the dremel. I have done this mod twice and it is pretty easy, just grind, test fit, etc.
Look at this link on Gadget's page and a seceond link from that page showing the Vista procedure:

I received the Kury Longhorn highway pegs today that I ordered from Dennis Kirk. There were no installation directions in the package. I've installed quite a few Kury products over the years, and there has always been an instruction sheet with every product. Granted, it's not rocket science installing highway pegs, but it would be nice to have any precautions they recommend. I went to the Kury site, and they have instructions for the pegs online. Must have forgotten to package mine.
On my last two bikes, I've had Kuryakyn Iso-Grips, Iso-Pegs, halogen spotlights and Iso-Wings. Never had a problem at all with any of them.

OK, at one time in my life I built golf clubs... The grips on a golf club are put on with double face tape. So,. here is how it's done: wrap the shaft(handle bar) with the double face tape, get the grip ready by filling with lighter fluid (not to the top, about 1" in the bottom) of the grip, put your finger in the top and shake it up and down so to get the lighter fluid coated in the grip. Slide it over the double face tape, and put into proper position... You have about 3-4 minutes to geterdone before it sets up! Go ride in about 1hr, have fun!
PS: Lighter fluid- the kind you start a grill with...
Take the outside wraping of the tape so it is sticky on the
outside, the lighter fluid will melt the glue on the tape...

At the J&P Cycles open house several weeks ago, I stopped at the Kuryakyn semi truck booth to see if I could buy some more screws for the iso-grip end caps. I've lost one of the screws somewhere along the way. They said they didn't have any with them, but they would take my address and send me some. Still waiting...

From a woman who works at a Kaw dealer. She is on another Vulcan forum on Delphi.
