Just got a throttle boss off ebay. I didn't come with the "rubber pad" listed on the parts web site. Is this part necessary?

What kind of a throttle boss is it? Kuryakyn? If it is I'm not aware of any rubber pad except the one on the side of the boss lever and that should not affect anything.

i have the two kury throttle bosses and they have rubber on the up sides of the pads for comfort. I just installed the flip-a-lever crusie control and it works very good $55

On the parts list from the web site it lists rubber pad. Don't know if they mean top and bottom of boss. Installed it anyway. Now if it would stop raining I could try it out.

Hello Jayc,

I just received a new throttle boss today from Kuryakyn along with my new ISO grips for a 2005 Nomad. The only rubber part of the throttle boss is the rubber insert that your palm rests upon once it has been installed. I looked at all the parts to be sure. Doug in Oregon

That's the general consensus I'm getting. Tried it today. Need to adjust it a little and forgot to bring the wrench with me.

throttle boss definitely helps prevent wrist fatigue. Just had a brake-away cruise control installed. Between the two I no longer experience any wrist fatigue on long rides

I just installed the flip-a-lever cruise and love it.

doc - who is the flip-a-lever made by? I had a vista cruise on previous bike, but it kept slipping..is this the same thing. brake-away wasn't cheap, but I like it. got to get use to it though because bike tends to accelerate after flipping cruise on. not interested in changing just curious cause i never heard of a flip-a-lever.
