As most of you know my quest to find the perfect bike continues. Here's a new story....

Week before last I did a search on Google "Kawasaki Nomad Pre Owned Tn" and a bike was listed in Union City, Tn. The bike was a 03 with a hyper charger, V & H, almost 44,000 miles and who knows what else. The badges had even been taken off. I talked to the dealer about this bike and 4 days later is was gone off their website. Now Union City is 181 miles north west from Nashville, but the bike appeared on another dealer website in Lewisburg, Tn which is 58 miles south of Nashville. Then today the same bike shows up on yet a third dealer site in Manchester, Tn 65 miles south east from Nashville....WHEW, THAT BIKE HAS MORE MILES ON A TRAILER THAN ON THE SPEEDO.

What really takes the cake are the prices, the first dealer had $6000 on it, the second had $6999 and the last dealer has it for $7499. Everyone wanting to make a few dollars.

But, I'm not giving up!!!

SKEET, Not sure how far from Al. you are,,But like said a Fly and ride home could be a GOOD Thing.. CONTACK SAM at doodledogsmom@aol.com she works for Smith Bros in Al. http://www.smithbrothersoneonta.com/ SHE is GREAT to deal with and had GREAT prices on parts, and BIKEs.. WORTH a shot!! as for your dealer moving the bike,, they probly are 1 in the same company..adjusting the price to the area....and to see if someone will bite at a higher price.. Rich

Skeet - that was interesting - must have been Abernathy's in Union city. I live in Dyersburg about 45 mins drive to Union city. Abernathys has really grown - they have 3 buildings - one for Honda's and Yamahas, one for used bikes, and a new Abernathy's Harley Davidson directly across the street from their Honda dealer.

And if you ask nice I know he would considor $5,200.
Its a very clean well maintained bike with a fair amount of extra's on it. And he's a really good freind of Sam. Thats where the bike was purchased from originally.

That's a heck of a price. I could fly down to bama and ride back out for you, skeet. ;)

What year is it and the miles, anyone know? And the color?

I found that the dealers that are owned together tend to advertise their bikes across all their websites, even though it is located at one of the dealerships. And price, don't even go there, I seen it all from internet vs. in person prices.

I got mine in Alabama, off of E-bay. ('07, 7,300 miles, $7,500)
Search Craigs list if you see a "good deal" there. I pasted the title of a Nomad for sale off of Craig's list here in Houston. The search found the exact same description and pictures on Craig's list sites in 8 other cities.

I found "Blondie", but she is too far away from me to be cost effective for me. She's in Yorktown, VA. My heart just longs for her...Oh, I'm straight!

Yep, we could start our own biker gang! ;)

It's a beautiful bike.

Ever since I flew down to Orlando and rode back out to Nashville, I've been itching for more. lol Maybe I need to start a service flying in riding out and delivering then flying back home.

Don't think like that. :-[ The bike you got is the best value in the business. When new ones go for $13,000 and the competition starts around $20,000 new, what you got was a great bike at a great price.

Now there are some unfortunate and even desperate souls in this world, and that's the reason guys like Cabby can find a nice used '99 Nomad for $2900, but those are the exceptions by far. From what I see most of the nice ones sell in the $6500~$8500 range.
