Last year I added the Baron's Starbar to my '03 Nomad. I want to try their Nostalgia bar too. The Starbar went on without a hitch, and has worked well, but I'm looking for something a bit more laid back. Anyone have any after market bars on your Nomad, and what type are you using?
Thanks, Mark...

Looks good nighthawk11!
Do they bring your hand position any further back? I have PhatIIs and grasshopper's backrest, but I would be more comfortable if my hands were about an inch further back. As it is now my elbows are almost straight.

well, I'm 5'8", use the grasshopper backrest and Chucksters risers as well. In a relaxed seating position, my elbows are slightly bent. The Starbar I currently use has a slightly greater pullback than the stock bar. I'm thiking about going with their Nostalgia bar which will add another 2" of pullback. I'm waiting to hear from Barons, whether I'll need longer cables, etc...

I changed mine to Sherm's risers they are 4X1 and have a inch riser cap on the bottom so that makes them 5X1 and I also changed handle bars to Flanders Heritage bars the measurement for them are Height: 7.75" Pullback:15" Center: 8.5" Width: 35"
Diameter: 1"
stock bars are Height: 6" Pullback: 14" Center: 9" Width:33"
I didn't have to change any cables out, but the risers came with a 2" longer S/S braided brake line which I did put on bike.
Oh and I'm 5'7" so this set up is perfect for me

The Nostalgia bar I want is Diameter: 1", Width: 36", Rise: 3-1/2", Pullback: 14-1/2

I did a search for starbar and this is one of the few threads that came up. My 03 Nomad had risers and stock bars. I have played with the position of the bars but still get wrist pain on a long ride. The Baron Starbar looks like it has a more neutral wrist position which is what I think I am looking for, but the specs say the pullback is less on the Starbar. That's got me a little worried.
If anyone has info or experience with the Starbars (and I realize there might not be with the limited search results) I'd appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks.

I think this might be a record. Nothing like bringing back a 7 year old thread. :)
