Where was this idea when I needed it on Saturday? 4 days late for me but I'll work on getting the setup ready for the next oil change.
Thanks radco

Your Welcome.. I was going to use a Screw driver,,BUT all I could see it doing was ding up the slot......Unscrewed it with the washer ONLY, then a screwdriver in the hole..Then came up with this.............Rich

I like Radcos' 18V battery operated one. Does the charger come with it?

Nice... I recently got the service manual for the Nomad as was reading up on how to do various things (like changing the oil). I was wondering if we had to buy that special tool. This looks like a good way of doing it. I'll have to see if I can find a washer and can jury rig the socket like you did.
How about some of the other "special tools" they mention. For example, they show a wrench for the oil filter. Is that needed, or can folks do it by hand?

Night,A HOME MADE TOOL Thread would be a GREAT Idea..... I didn't know they showed a special wrench for the oil filter..BUT all you need is a VERY SMALL Filter wrench from any Auto store/Wal mart etc...(5/7$)..DO try and find one with the SOCKET wrench adapter on it,,YOU may not be able to fit the wrench on it BUT you can grab the hump with a pair of PUMP Pilers ..YOUll see what I mean at the first change about a tight space.....Rich
