Since I’ve own my Vaquero sometimes I have issues with my foot getting hung under the saddle bag guard when walking it up. I’ve almost tipped it over a few times because of this. I thought it was just me, but I talked to another Vaquero owner with the same issue. Has anyone changed these bars to something different? Or maybe adapted the Voyage bars? Thanks for your help in advance.

I actually dumped mine because of it. They do there job I must say. ( Protect the bags) Not to be a smart ass but If walking it up means going forward=Use the motor and clutch. Backwards is /was lesson learned. Almost never? repeated it. The other issue you may have is lifting your lazy ass leg so as not to hit the bags. Seems I have a lazy ass legs:lol:
( A good wax job helps keep my boot marks off the bags.) Still happens though, …..so Welcome to the forum. It's the little things, we Love/ Hate.
OOPS, back to the question. As far as I know, no one has a replacement for the crash bars. Just one of those things.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve just now trained my lazy ass leg to get high enough to clear the bag, but I think there needs to be an aftermarket guard for people that are lazy like me.

Yep, Crash bars, unless you get creative yourself is kinda limited. Saw a guy at Daytona last year with a multiple colored loud assed Blue bike. Had the Lower Vaquero bag lower hoop mount, but had the top part of the 1500/600 attached to the shock mount going down to the hoop. Looked really good.
Ya'll just wait till you stand off to the side, trying to push a Vaquero....:wtf:.... into a front wheel chock....usually a Mexican Hat Dance ensues :hmm: trying to recover not having it roll home into chock....

Saddle bag guards sometime hinder, Vaquero riders have this common issue. Vaquero's low seat posture ,probably, obstructs and cause these sort of issues.
