Hi All,
I have a confession to make. The more I look at my bike (titanium and black), the less I am liking the color combination. I should just get over it, but I tend to obsess about such things, so I am wondering if others have repainted their bikes another color?
I really like brighter colors, but I'd like to see some examples on the bike. I need to spend some time with Photoshop I guess and try out some combinations. I have a mental picture of blue/white or maybe red/white in my head, but would like to check it out on a bike. Anyone have any non-stock two tone color combinations? Maybe if I could get some color on the bag doors and not the all titanium only section there. I don't know... Just looking for someone who as gone before me in this quest. :)

Thanks.

I like that vest in your pic. Mind telling me what it is and where
I can take a closer look at one?
Thanks,
Dano

It came from leatherup.com. It's reasonable protection, and comfortable on blazing hot days.

I wasn't happy with a two tone bike. Since it was half Grey already, and there wasn't any Grey bikes around, I decided to go all Grey, but before I took the tank off, decided that would be too much grey. It was done in two days

It's a armored padded riding vest Old Man. I kept getting catty suggestion about the size of the last pic so I took the pixel down a notch. It was taking up a hole screen. :-)

My back fender has something on or in the paint and I'm afraid to mess with it without having to paint the whole fender.
Red and tan has always been my favorite color, next to what I own of course.

If you can get some older Kawasaki brochures they had some nice two tone 800 classics, and some nice 1500 classics.Red/cream, green/white.I thought they looked nice.Might have been other combinations also.

Cant even imagine painting her a different color. She is a beauty if I do say so! I like the 98 or 99 Nomad that was 2 tone dark green / med. green as my second choice. If I ever repainted mine I might go with solid Illusion Blue which almost looks purple.

I've got a buddy who's had some custom paint work done... Stock paint, but just custom pinstripping and some mural work. It's looks sharp and actually breaks up some of the "plain-ness". I like the normal paint...but I'll have some custom work done on mine too someday...

I painted mine House of Kolor Black Shimrin and cardinal red painted pinstripes. I like it much better than the factory purplish/black color.

Anybody here have what some refer to as a "Blonde" bike? It is tan and creame? I love that combination with a tan seat.

Black really is the fastest color; after all, what color is the SR-71 spy plane? Kawasaki re calibrated speedos on all the non-fast colors so that the owners would think theirs was faster. If you repaint your Nomad black from another color a photosensitive chip embedded in the tank surface will automatically re calibrate your bike's speedo. On a side note; if you wear a Speedo the same embedded chip will cause your ignition to not function.

Superduty,
I considered doing same with my last bike. To get started, I did a google search of "motorcycle paint shops" and then I just tooled around and looked at the pix in each places site. Helped a lot and gave me a ton of ideas. From mild to wild, it's all available with $$$. I really like the "torn metal" and the "true flame" paint jobs. Very cool, IMO. House of Kolor is known for it's wide range of sublte to outrageous colors. Some standard, some unusual, most unique.
Did you have an idea of what style, design and/or color(s) you're interested in?

Good luck and have fun "oohing and aahing" at all the neat ideas!
Daryl
