Having just bought my new 07 Nomad I noticed that there isn't enough lighting in the rear of the bike or many locations to put some.
Looking for ideas or specific brands of lights. Photos would be great.
Thanks.

Great addition. Flashes 3 times then holds steady then flashes
and repeats. Does a good job getting attention.
Ride safe,
Dano

Marshal, FIRST WELCOME to the Group..and CONGRATs on the New Nomad,,,.as Dano stated there is a kit you can install to make them Break,Run Turn lights. OR you can get a extra Front set and replace with them, that would give you run/turn signals.... There are several brands of kit out there,,and Im sure more will post in the next few days on what they use...... I am going to light up my Rear as well http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif.. I going to add LED Lights to the Bag Frame rails, and see if I can install a Led on the fender tip.......Off thread,, Check out the North east ride section... Rich

Try Custom Dynamics. I use the Knight Rider light bar attached to a chrome license plate frame. I got the sequential light (like Kit) so I have an additional light on the rear. In addition, the light flashes then goes steady when I put on brakes.

You can see the light right below the reflector on my third picture.

This company also has a large selection of LEDs to help you light your way.

Hey gghost. I plan to ride over to Custom Dynamics soon and take a look at everything they have. I want to find something to run on the rear bottom of my tour pak. I have side running lights on it,but want more rear lighting. When I decide to go, I'll post it and maybe we can meet somewhere to say hello.

Marshal,

This is what I've done to the rear of mine:

I put on a set of "Electro-Pods" auxilary brake lights - they flash constantly while you're braking. You can see them right below the .50 cal bullets flanking the plate. Speaking of which, I secured it with red reflective "dots" you can find in any auto store or bike shop. I also added some red reflective tape between the backrest and the trim piece, which seems to work very well. None of this will set you back much. I might have $25 wrapped up in it.

I plan on adding the Kuryakyn run-turn-brake kit at some time in the future, maybe this winter. But, what I have is working for now.

Here's a pic:

I installed "Sound off Safety Priority Plus" I Converted my Rear Turn Signals Into combination signals/brake lights/running lights.

Here is some more info on doing this

looks good so far, what about putting them on the bags? Hey BKMAXVRB where did you get the chrome fender tips?

Marshal,

The tips came from e-bay. There's a guy on there that sells them from his shop in MD. His prices are reasonable and the shipping is quick.

I just checked e-bay, hoping to provide a link, but I didn't see them on there. He may be out of stock or I just missed them as I went through pretty quickly.

Anyway, that's where I got them. Just check every once in a while, they'll be there. He sells the two for the front as a set and the rear seperately. He does ship them together though. I failed to do this but, I'd recommend sending him an e-mail to see if h'll give a discount for all three bought at once. I'm told he will.

Sorry I couldn't provide a name, link or e-mail. I'm sure you'll see them there shortly.

I have installed three bullet lights on each side of my rear hard bags. Two Red and one amber.
The red are running lights and brake lights and the amber is a turn signal light. Got them at a truck
stop for $12.00. Work and can be seen very well and is not distracting from the looks of the bike.
