Got my Roadhouse Dooleys on. Second bike I've had them on and I love that real deep bass sound.

Are they true duals Dano? looking GREAT!
Thanks guys. No, they're 2 into 1 into 2. Roadhouse says it
gives the bike more low end torque that way. The Nomad has
plenty of low end torque, but a little more never hurt http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Love the deep bass sound they make. Now, my baby sounds as
good as I like to think she looks. I normally ride with the stereo
on 40 (audio runs from 0 to 80) with these pipes, I only had to go to 42 to hear as well as with the OEM's. It's louder but not much, what it does has is that deep bass that you can feel in your back when you decel. Had to marble to stop a little bit of a
pop, but I can live with that ;)
Ride safe everyone,
Dano

Great looking bike, must be a custom paint job. New pipes must weight alot less than the originals. How difficult was it to get your bike painted, lots of disasemble and re-assem?

You the Man Dano....
This is another Nomad that is owner modded that is so awesome.
Wow, the paint, and those pipes are unreal.
Any way you could to a audio clip? I'm sure one of the members could talk you through the process.
I think we all want to hear them. I sure do!
Wolfman, I'm far from wealthy. I'm just a civil servant, a Parole Officer, and my pay is a source of embarassment. I do, however,
pay my bills and have credit rating thats about 2 points below max. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Anyway thanks and ride safe,
Dano
jlamz, a friend of mine painted it for me. He dables in painting
cars and bikes in his spare time. Works as a chemical operator
at one of the govt plants in Oak Ridge. He did it all. I rode the bike over and picked it up 2 weeks later when he called and said it was ready. Cost me $1000. The GM Corvette Competition Yellow and cost $175 a pint. Took 2 pints. Then of course the clear coat over that.
I'm pleased with the way it turned out. Guess you could say it's a custom job. Ain't another one like it that I know of.
You're right, the pipes are lighter and that alone translates into more power. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

frlnomad. Wish I could do an audio but I don't have the equipment. My old Digital has motion but not audio. There is
a sound clip at the very bottom of this site.
Ride safe and thanks,

Nice bike, I really like the way the left side looks, very clean, how did you get the air cross over out? I just replaced my right side with an air thunder kit and am considering removing the left side, but I hear removal is a real b____.

jlamz, I heard that the thunder kit with it's must buy backing plate ($89) one must remove the cross over tube? Is this not true? You put on the new backing plate right over the top of the opening?
Hey Dano we were in the same line of work almost. I used to be C/O at a state prison here in WA State for some time.. I hear on the pay scale thing....LOL
jlamz. The backrest is a CWI it got from valueaccessories.com
I like it.

Right, I installed the Thunder backing plate over the right side of the cross over tube. In other words, I removed the left bell and the left backing plate, exposing the tube. I left the crossover tube and the left bell on. In fact, I covered the right side with the original bell too, so both sides look the same, but the air comes from the right side now thur the K&N filter. I like the way the original bell cover looks better than the Thunder covers. Haven't decided if I will remove the left side and the cross over tube yet. Bike runs much better, but there is some sound from the K&N when I get on the throttle.
