Im sure this has been covered but im looking for Highway Peg ideas.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, the main thing is id like them to be functional and reasonable priced. Im looking to stay in the $100.00 area.

If anyone has any input I'd appreciate it. Pictures would help as well.

The Kuryakyn Longhorn Duallys are a popular choice but they are more than $100.

I actually have a used set of those longhorn duallys that came off my Nomad.
Can't make them fit my Victory.
I'll sell them to you for $115.

I tried going cheap on highway pegs and learned the hard way. They broke mounting them to the bike. Luckily I had bought them on Amazon and sent them back for a refund with no hassles. Ended up going with Kuryakyn. Pay for quality and buy it once. If Top Cat's are in good shape that's your best bet.

The Kuryakyn magnum mounts are so worth the money.

I put a set of these on my nomad and really like them. They seem to be built really well also. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-25-Chrome-Adjustable-Highway-Short-Mount-Foot-Pegs-For-Harley-Touring-Models-/191950394807?hash=item2cb12295b7

I put their pilot pegs with offset mounts on the crash bars of my Nomad. Very comfortable, reliable & look good like part of the bike. Flip up too. Costly, but worth it. I'm confident I can put my weight on them no problem.

I went the cheap route from Amazon. Really like them so far. They resemble the expensive units. Mounted low so i can keep heel on floorboard and put toe on these. They sure are shiny!

Those look like the ones I bought that broke putting them on, but it looks like they addressed the problem. Mine had hinges and that's where they broke, but it looks like they've done away with that weak point. Those look a little trickier install but they look like they won't break. Good luck with them.

Any of them can fall apart. The first set of Kuryakyn Longhorn Duallys I had, one of them cracked where it bolted to the engine guard. Fell off the bike and never was found. Kuryakyn wanted more to replace it than I could buy a whole new set on Ebay for. :ohno:

Like I said, it looks like they fixed the weak point. They actually look pretty robust now. With the amount of torque you have to apply to the bolts to keep them in place I have to question the use of hinges by anyone. Who knows, my Kuryakyns might break at the hinges at some point also.

So far so good. Have 2k on my cheap foot pegs still work and look good. Do miss my old pegs on my crash bars on my 900 where i could rest my legs. But with so wide of tank just able 2 use these with feet.
