Ever since I put the big open air cleaner on mine I can hear a loud clicking sound almost louder than the de baffled pipes is that the solenoids making all that noise ???

I normally use the Mobil-1 15w-50 but one time I bought the Mobil-1 V-Twin 20w-50. I liked it about the same. It is a little thicker cold, and you can tell because the clutch will drag more than with the 15w-50 until the engine warms up a bit. When nice and hot (and I mean Fresno hot, not New Hampster hot) they seemed both the same.

A full oil change with filter is 3.75 quarts on my bike. I always drain from the screen. I use the slightly longer SuperTech filter. Use 3.5 quarts with the short (stock Kawi type) filters. The screen is a little flimsy, but mine's been in and out for over a dozen oil changes now. Be gentle with it & it'll be fine. I just squirt it out with spray can carb cleaner and blow it with an air hose.

Go easy when tightening the plug though. People have broken them off & they're a pain to remove if broken. Change the o-ring every few oil changes, and make sure the sealing surfaces are really clean before you put it on.

Always check to make sure the old oil filter gasket stuck to the filter. About 1 time in 10 it'll stick to the engine when you spin the filter off. If you start the engine with two gaskets on there it'll blow out all your oil in about 20 seconds.

Just disconeect one wire from each solenoid & insulate the loose wire well. It doesn't matter which one either.

what exactly do the solenoids do ?

They feed extra air to the engine to maintain a good idle speed when it's cold. If you disconnect them you have to maintain the idle speed yourself until the engine warms up.

They also add air to the engine whenever the computer determines you need it to combat smog, like when you suddenly release the throttle under certain circumstances.

They are mounted to the plate on the throttle body, RH side under the air cleaner thingy.

I think that's the air temp sensor. Your solenoids are history if you have the BAK.

This is the stock setup with the cover off. The solenoids are circled in red.

The round brass thing below the right solenoid is the air temp sensor.

(The black corrugated plastic wire loom is not stock. I added that when I unhooked the wires.)

I eventually took my solenoids out, as the intake gets smoother air flow without them in there.

Hell no wonder I couldnt find them ringadingh didnt tell me to look in the box the BAK came in so I guess the noise I am hearing is the air being sucked in
