Has anyone put the stretched out Harley bags on a nomad? Seen a website that sells them just don't know how they look.

Hello and welcome.
I never heard of anyone doing that. Most people like the Nomad bags.

I think I have seen it done with the 1600 classic, but not with the Nomad. As mentioned most go with a Nomad cause they like that bags. Anyone ever seen a Harley with Nomad bags? Doubt it. LOL.
I say go for it! It would be a one of a kind you can be the person who answers everyone elses questions about how to do it. :)

You won't be first but you can be next. Prepare for a BUNCH of crap from members. Like, "if you wanted a Harley, you should have bought a Harley". Believe me, it got old, fast. I'll look in the garage this weekend and see if I still have my custom made brackets. If so, you can have them. I make no promises.

I have found the ones designed for the nomad on Bagger Bags of Facebook they have a few pics of them instlled. I think they look nice. Also Chris I already know I will hear it about just buying a Harley but I very much prefer the ride on the nomad!

Really Chris :hmm: some of the members on here gave you a bunch of crap responses :wtf:
:D Just bustin buddy, most of those guys don't stay around here that long.
I think a couple of them went to a Victory forum. I asked about going from a stage one exhaust back to stock to quiet the Kingpin I just bought.
I was told if I want quiet, buy a Goldwing :ohno:

Troy, that's exactly what I was going to say. Congrats on the 'Pin, TC! For something not touring, that's one of my top choices. What year 'Pin? I like the looks of the steel frame Vics.

I still have the Nomad for now.
I need to change a few things to make the 'Pin the way I want it.
But I will post a pic or 2 later today.

Chris, it is a 2011. I was looking for a 2011 or 2012 as they have the 100K transmission and the 106 motor. Victory stopped making the Kingpin in 2012 to start the Boardwalk. My wife has a Boardwalk and I might have went with one of them except tube tires is a deal breaker for me.
There is some kind of theme going on here. TOP cat on a KING pin. Congrats Tim, have you got to ride it yet?

No riding yet Norm, still in a neck brace. Not the one I had on at the rally, a smaller soft brace. But Doc says no driving and positively no motorcycle for at least a couple more weeks.
Looks nice Tim, how much lighter than the Nomad is it?

Looks good! You're going to run out of space in your garage. ;)

It is about 120 lbs lighter than the Nomad and nowhere near as top heavy from what I can tell so far. I rode Cindy's Boardwalk and this is pretty similar to that.

Yeah Jared, not sure we need 4 motorcycles but it is good to have spares when one of them is in the shop :D

I like the bags on my Nomad, so wouldn't switch unless I damages the ones I have. If that happened, then I would probably look at the Tsukayu Strong bags. They seem to have similarly round lines.
Tim: nice bike!
