;)Iam new to the forum and own an 05 nomad 1600. Iam wondering which is the preferred risers to install. Iam about 5ft 10 in with a 33 sleeve length. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Rooster1

Hey rooster1 this should probably not be posted in the trip travel section if you want maximum exposure to your question. In the mean time welcome and 4 inch risers are the norm with some going 6 inches. I have aeromachs on mine 4 inches and is just about right!

What BD said. Also I tried to get the Aeromach but they were constantly on back order so I canceled and got the Phat II's. Love them. Nice pull back that eliminates shoulder aches and pains. Mostly personal preference. Probably not a nickles worth of diff between them as far as functionality. You could always get a set and try them then sell them if you want to try to other ones. Hey, it's only money.

Welcome aboard the Crazy Train Rooster! Like Idaho, I have the Phat II's from Scootworks. I'm 6'1" and they fit just right for me... There are a lot of other threads on here in various places on the risers.....and I'm sure others will chime in also, so you should be able to get some good ideas!! Ride Safe!!!

They are shaped different. The Aeromachs have more detail to them which makes them better looking.

I'm 5' 10 and have put on chuckster's risers. I'm happy with them. Not as much as a pullback as the others.

Thanks Beez. Finally got the bike back again and think it's all square. Will know after I get enough miles on her to see how she heats up. Hope you're enjoying yours.

I am also 5'10" with 33" sleeve. I have Aeromach risers and a drivers backrest which makes for a comfortable ride. IMO the backrest help support the comfort of the risers. I sure any risers would make a difference compared to the OEM risers. It just a preference of style......

The Aeromachs have 1.5" pullback while the PhatIIs have 3" pullback.

Aeromachs with a mustang seat and backrest. You have to wonder why the big boys at KawiCorp don't do it up front as a new bike. It is what most of us like or pretty similar.
