Anyone have a power commander V just crap out on you? If so, how did the bike respond? Mine's only a year old and think it just did. >:(>:(>:(

As stated, get Ivans ECU flash and ditch the Power Commander.

I was having some strange issues with my bike last year, and while trying to find answers, spoke with Powercommander and a couple different shops. The shops (local dealer and Thunder) both said they have a box full of PC's that have failed, and Powercommander admitted they do have failures as well. Unfortunately, they are a mass produced item, and as with anything mass produced, are subject to failures. When they fail, sometimes they stop working and the bike runs like it's not there, sometimes the bike won't run at all, and anything in between.
I agree with JD Hog and redjay, this seems like the perfect time to send the ECU off to Ivan.

Luckily, in investigating closer, turned out that it was a wire that had came loose from the stupid positap by the ECU. On one hand I was hoping it crapped out so I could get it Ivanized but on the other I'm glad it's not another $350 out of pocket. About 2 months after buying the PCV is when I first learned about the reflashing. All about timing........:hmm:

It could be worse. I bought a PC5 and didn't even get it installed when Ivan posted his FIX for the short cummings of these 1700's. Still in the box. I went with the reflash because it fixed problems the PC5 tried to cover up.
The $350.00 will be well spent and is so much simpler. Plug and play.

I've been waffling on getting the Ivan mod done - So now that Ivan is on Vacation for 2 weeks, My Bully takes a dump and quits working. Running on one cylinder, not to mention I accidentally cut the Green wire while removing it from the bike. So I get to see what a stock Voyager runs like - Oh, the inhumanity.
