For a while now I've been wanting a bike with ABS and my wife wanted me to have a bike with cruise control. So after a lot of debate and going back and forth on different brands I decided on a 2012 Voyager with ABS. I bought from DavidT on the forum and drove to Morley MO. and picked her up (1100 miles round trip) and yes I traileded it home. First mod Ivanize. I'll send it off in a week or two (I'd like to ride her a bit first).

Nice bike. Congratulations.
I've been wanting one.
Do you still have the Nomad?

Thanks guys. I took it for a little ride after we got home and man the motor is hot. The seat sucks after riding on a Russell and the windshield is to tall. All can be fixed but the flash will come first.

I still have the Nomad and sold the 900. I have so much in the nomad I hate to sell it. For now I'm going to take off the tour pack just to give it a different look. I sure I'll try to sell it sooner or later.

The flash will help also getting rid of the stock air boxes help as well as free flowing exhaust. All depends on what you want to do. Enjoy the new bike.

Jim is your bike running cooler now the you did the flash. It's 100° today and I road the bike up for a title inspection and man it feels like your sitting on a oven with the door open. The reason I ask I know yours is still stock and so is this one. I plan on adding pipes and breather later but I'm out of money for now.

Dave, yes mine does run cooler now. Before it would go to the third line after 12:00 (red line for hot) in stop and go traffic or climbing tight winding roads in the summer heat. Now it will only go between 1:00 and 2:00 in that scenario. Most of the time it is at 12:00 cruising in the summer heat.
Some of this may be because of my mileage. Back when the ECU was re-flashed I had 3800 miles on the bike. I now have 8300 miles so the motor is broke in more now and most likely running cooler also.

Glad you are lookin' good on your ride, and hope you get as much pleasure out of it as I did. I am anxious to read how you like the ecu flash, as that was to be my next step... until... the Versys intervened.
Good to meet you, and maybe we can meet after September when my kids arrive in Ok City.

ECU is flashed and I'll have it Wednesday. Bought a used Mustang seat until I can get a Russell. Pulled the fairing off and mounted the GPS today. I would have never guessed the CB would have been mounted in the lower fairing. Just wished I could have turned the bike on to check everything out but with the ECU in transit that's probable not the best idea. Can't wait until Wednesday to take her out for a spin.
If you get down this way give me a shout.

Hey Framer, I never saw a review on the flash for your ride. Did I miss it, or are you slacking? :D

Slacking.....that's me.
The bike runs great, even though its stock (except for the ECU) it runs better than my Nomad. The flash did make it a bit cooler but she's still hot compared to the Nad. I took off the throttle mod it made the bike to hurky jerky. Now the throttle fells more like my Nad. I ordered Cobra pipes and they should be here tomorrow. I hope that will make it run a bit cooler and pick up some torque. All in all I'm very pleased with the Voyager but I still have some work to do to make it as comfortable as the Nomad. Yes I still like the Nad after all I had 4 years to get the it right.

I like it a lot. The cruise was strange a first but I think I'm use to it now. Having all the controls at your finger tips is really nice. The back speaker makes the stock radio awesome and she runs way better than the Nad. I just need risers and a RDL seat and I'll bet set.

Yep-that's what made me buy a Voyager in the first place. I just went to a Versys before I did the ECU upgrade. $400 would have been cheeeeeeper, but, oh well...
Incidentally Dave, you have a box coming your way. I was going through my junk boxes when I found the passenger intercom I was telling you about.
