To all of that made it to the 'Verne "Old dog" Memorial NCR rally' , I would like to pass on a note I received from his widow via Steve. Thanks Steve for passing on the note and delivering the donation in person as well. Thank you goes to specially Dave Mills and his wife Donna, that came up with the idea of doing a cook out and actually contributing all the food, as well as preparing it. All they asked for was a free-will contribution that was all going to Vernes family. Thank you to Hillsboro Hotel for allowing us to do that on their property and for donating items for the raffle. The raffle was a free-will contribution as well, with the proceeds going to the family too. Last but not least thank you to all the VBA members that came to the rally to make this a huge success

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to go on the memorial ride for Verne. You are all so thoughtful. We certainly didn’t expect the generous donation and will use it to find a remembrance piece and for a family dinner on his birthday which is July 31st. We miss him every day and want to thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts.
