horn upgrade

Can anyone recommend one that people can actually hear. I'm on a Vaquero and wondering if there is a direct replacement or has anyone mounted one somewhere else

A loud horn is much more effective than loud pipes... There are bolt on replacements, or compact air-horns available, I chose to mount a pair of car horns, one inside the top of each of the fairing leg guards, wired through a relay.

Stebel Nautalis and mount on the left side to the engine mount with a small bracket to bring back a little so away from leg shield (you don't have to worry about that).

I used the Stebel and mounted it where the stock horn was. Just need someone to make a small bracket to mount it.

I mounted the WOLO airhorn and wired it using the left side horn location and wired through a relay......very loud. As a matter of fact it saved my bacon this past weekend.

the stebel is probably the best out there....easy install and it gathers a great deal of attention when utilized....

the wolo is a stebel knockoff and from what I understand just as effective...

I have the sound bomb
From Denali a little bigger compressor than the Stebel and the note doesn't sound like an o'l Packard

I have used wolo and stiebel, both loud enough to scare the shit out of the stupid drivers that edge over into your lane, at highway speed, and windows up. I won't say that most of the culprits are young women in case I offend someone.

I blew the horn a 1/4 mile from home and my wife said it sounded like an emergency vehicle clearing the intersection.

40 bucks gets you a PIAA horn that is very loud like a trumpet, and fits where the stock one goes, and needs no relay installed. They are the best horn for the money, will stand up in any kind of weather and last a long time. They do get the attention of unwary cagers quickly. The company is based in Portland Oregon.
