Hello Everyone. I've been lurking here for the past couple of months after I decided to get back in the market for a Voyager. I had a 2010 Nomad and after I had it set up like I wanted it (including a color-matched OEM trunk), I used it as part of a trade-in for a new car, and I've missed that bike ever since.

I've been researching Voyagers on Cycle Trader, Craigslist, and going to look at them in the showrooms once the dealers in my area get them in their inventory as they always seem to be waiting for delivery. I know that Kawasaki has made some tweaks over the years including adding an Oxygen Sensor since 2015 models. Anyone know why they did this or what performance difference the Oxygen Sensor provides compared to pre-2015's?

Also, any word on what color(s) choices are going to be available for 2017? Thanks for any info.

Welcome from Northern California. I have a 2015 Voyager with the 02 sensor. It will make adjustments to your fuel based on the exhaust readings. I did have Ivan re-flash my ECU so now the 02 sensor is disconnected. After you purchase your new bike I would put the re-flash on the very top of the list for mods.

We won't know color's for 2017 until September or so.

Right....when you get the ecu flash done, you can take off the sensor then go right to an open exhaust and air intake as well and your bike will run like it should and then some.

I asked a dealer and the response I got was so Kawi does not have to manufacture separate bikes for places like California that have extreme EPA regulations. Easier to make them all with O2 sensors. Answer made sense to me.
