I swapped out my pipes (Jardine duels) for a new set of Cobra Boulevards w/billet tips. They look tough but sound weak. :-/ Power is improved a little, but ya cant hear them!!!! I just turned my beast into a MUTE. any one have this problemo and know how to fix it. I didnt go for any other pipes cuz they look like POS compared to Cobras 4" billets. VH's are made by Martha Stewart http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif.

Hangon,

Are those the Cobra's in the picture? If so, they look pretty darn good, IMO. But, if the sound isn't quite what you were hoping for, maybe they have removable baffles that you can switch out for better sounding baffles??? Or , just remove the baffles all together?

If aftermarket pipes DO have removable baffles, they usually get sent out at time of purchase with "stock" baffles. If you want "performance baffles", you have to specify that and order accordingly.

Check with whomever you purchased the pipes through (or with Cobra directly) and see if the baffles are removable and go from there.

Good luck,
Daryl

A man who speaks his mind. Funny. Maybe Ms. Stewart got her hands on the Cobras before they shipped. http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif

hangon,
Keep us posted and hope it works out to your liking. FWIW, I installed a set of Roadhouse 2:1's on my '06 Suzuki Blvd C50T. The "tapered" exhaust tip they send standard with the pipes made them sound like a darn sewing machine! So, I took it off and just left the pipe without a tip and it sounded MUCH better. Don't know what kind of tip the Cobra's have on them, but if it's a tapered kind (the kind that narrows down), you might try either removing it (not sure how it'd look) or getting a non-tapered tip.

Just an after-thought though, as I believe the different baffles will be the best solution for you.

Good luck again,
Daryl

I updated my pics and I even threw in some extra photos. These ladies and Gentalman are COBRA'S with 4" billet end tips. now they have fangs.

Hangon, just out of curiosity - what did you do with the Jardines? If you've still got them, are you willing to part with them? PM me... Thanks!
