I have tried out several different windshields and am sticking with the 9" Klockwerks for now.

I started with the stock "thing"...looks good, works terrible...major buffetting and bobble head.

I moved to a 14" OEM...nice, but way to big for my tastes...passed that along to a buddy.

Then I got an 11" Slipstream, Dark Smoke color. Great shield, little bit of wind, otherwise good coverage...did not fit the lines of the bike (its basically just a flat shield).

I then put on a 9" KlockWerks, Dark Smoke. Looks FANTASTIC...fits the lines of the fairing perfectly. Gives a fair amount of wind to the face...pretty much hits my eyes...but I look right over it, and the wind that does hit me is super smooth. If I have any issues with this shield, it is simply the wind noise.

I thought...that worked so well, that the 12" Klockwerks must be perfect. Not so much :( It is a totally different shape than the 9" shield...defiantly does not flow with the bike, like the 9" does. Its not available in the Dark Smoke. It really feels like it is 4+" taller than the other shield, its very wide. It does keep the wind noise down, but it felt a lot of buffetting at the top of my head.

Included are picks of the 9" shield on Wind Therapy...as well as the other sheilds stacked...stock, Slipstream, KlockWerks.

I have a 9 inch klock werks on my vaquero and really thought about trying the 12 inch but after what you have to say I think I will just stick with what I know. Thanks for the review

I'm in the same boat , I kinda thought about getting the 12", basically so my wife behind me doesn't feel all the wind. She's only said something in passing so maybe it's not a big deal.
It hasn't stopped her yet from jumping on the back when I take it out for a ride

Right from day one I put on a 2 pc. 'Bagger Shield'. The bottom section is 8" and the top section adds about another 4 1/2" which can be removed and flipped then secured inside the lower section (the lower section is tinted darker than the top which is lightly tinted). I also cut a left over Memphis Shades Batwing "spoiler windshield" with a curved top edge down to about 3", drilled it to fit the lower section, this lowered the height for seeing over top even more but with the curved top reduced and almost eliminated any wind buffeting and noise. Looks slick with the curve on top...this is the combination that works and looks the best for me (I'm 5' 9" w/31" inseam...but I also carved about 3/4" out of my seat height). I only use the bottom section by it self in the rain, gives me the best and clearest view. Lots of options with just 1 windshield. Cheers

Love to see a pic of how that looks

Great thoughts on what you found from your experiences with those different screens.
I too looked at KW and was not convinced it was the best screen for me. That is why I went with clearview and am very optimistic.

CaptKurt, I'll try to post a couple in the next day or two. You could also check out their web site for a general idea, they offer 2 basic sizes/height combinations for our bikes. Cheers

CaptKurt here's what it looks like with the cut down spoiler shield attached. I forgot to mention that I also used a heat gun to warm it up and pulled it in to adjust the radius to match the lower section. When I ride with just the lower section, I fill in the holes with small caps/plugs.

I finally settled for the 10' Slipstream smoked unit...works well for me, it sells for a great price and keeps the wind right up over my head.
