How do I remove the saddlebags on my vaquero, I wanna run some led's figure I would take them off to do so

I would think your owners manual would tell you how.

Thule, there should be 2 bolts for each bag. Open the lid and look just above middle way the back of the bag and there are 2 10mm bolts that attach the bag to the fender rails. Remove bolts and lift the bags off the support brackets.

It's really easy....just have a long extension ready for the 10mm socket. I'va had mine off at least 50 times...you will get quick at it for cleaning your rear brake and rear wheel from time to time.

I used a set of these to replace the OEM hardware. However, I had to re-tap the threads to work with the bolts. Simple task and saves alot of time when removing the bags. Here's the link:

That's a cool idea know bolts...as long as they don't get in the way when you're packing for a trip. Or just put the stock bolts back in for a road trip and the knobs for use around locally most of the time.
