I kinda like the deflector on your crash bars, can you post or send me info on them? I like the way you are going on the Vaq, the black makes the green pop.

Looks good. I just had the tourpak rack and the saddlebag racks powdercoated an Ink Black. I'm going to have the crashbar and saddlebag crashbars powdercoated shortly.

Yeah, the deflectors are actually for a Goldwing, and were on the bike when I got it. But they weren't very useful before and they got in the way of the foot brake. But with a little bit of modifying, they work pretty well on the Vaq now.
Here is a link for them.

I did the same thing right after I bought it, I felt like I picked up where
kawi left off, floorboards, crash bars, handle bars, clutch and brake levers, even my V&H 2 into 1's creramic coated
taking a break from all the chrome, of bikes I've had

Nice! I have been thinking about doing lots of the same to mine, especially the crash bars. I have to ask, how did you do the rear fender, I really like that and I am wondering if you did it yourself or had someone do it. Looks great!

Thanks for noticing Ovationdave. Yeah, when I installed the lowering links and saw how the strut covers were installed, I thought it would look really sharp if they were black like the lower fairing and side panels. I just ordered the pre-painted OEM parts (left and right strut covers and the tail) and traded them out. I wanted it to be different than the other 2012's out there. I think it turned out great. The cost was actually less than having my parts painted, and if I ever decide to go back to green; I still have those.

Looks great Heath. I'm not sure what's different about the rear fender. What did you do?

The filler panels between the fender and bags are black instead of green. really gives it a different look.

What Gypsy said. Instead of the whole back end being green, I replaced the tail fin and strut covers with the black ones from a 2011 so they matched the front lower fairing and the side panels below the seat. Thanks for the compliments guys.
