just put it on this morning. The only one made for the Vaquero. It's a 9' flare. I love the look of it but after 200 miles at highway speed and then some. I can say it does nothing to keep my sunglasses in place. I see no difference in the buffeting at all. I can however hear the stereo clearly with the volume on 15 and the bike doing 85 mph . I'm 6' 1" and thought this would help but not even a little. I'm happy with the look, very and have gotten many comments about it. I'm thinking if I were just 2-3 inches shorter it would stop the for head hurricane I get at speed. If your under 6 ft. I recommend it. For me. I'm keeping it for looks

Your experience has been the same as many others on here... Racnray's solution for his Vaq was to lift the whole thing up a few inches

Just a thought here. Doesn't the Vaquero have the same fairing as the Voyager? Anyone wanting a taller windshield try one for the Voyager? The stock windshield on my 2013 Voyager was 18" tall. I am 6' tall and the factory windshield was about an inch below the top of my head, and I have a Mustang seat. I actually opted to replace it with a shorter windshield because I like the look and I still get plenty of air around my head but not directly on my face.

I also had a Klockwerks with the same experiences as you. Check out Wind Vest Windshields, I honestly never had a windshield that truly worked and functioned as claimed by the manufacture. I bought the 10 inch Gun Smoke, looks great too..You will not be disappointed!

I heard Klockwerks is coming out with a new 11" version for the Vaquero. I have the 9" now and would like it to be a little taller.

I am looking for a new windshield can you do me (us) a favour and measure your torso height as your total height doesn't give an accurate measurement and then tell us where the buffeting starts.

For example I have a torso height of 34" (while sitting) and with my shorty windshield (9 inches) I figure a windshield about 2" (maybe 3) taller would push the buffeting over my head away from me. I have moved my left hand around me while driving to see where I can feel wind resistance.

this why I went with the tall clearview with the curve, Ihave no buffeting at all, can hear the radio fine at low volume and actually have little or no neck pain since the install. Highly recommended.

I'll break out the tape measure later. I love the way it looks and again, I can hear the stereo at speed. I really can't stand the look of the tall clear windshields on these bikes. No offense to those that have them it's just not my taste. Seems to take away from the attitude of the bike. I'll check into the one suggested but can't see going more than a couple of inches more without ruining the look of the bike. Thanks for all the advise and comments. Missing my HD's less everyday

I'm 5'10" and with the stock my glasses were everywhere and the wind noise was so bad I had to wear earplugs above 45mph. My klock werks is much better. Can hear the radio even at interstate speed and the buffeting is much better as well, but still need another 2-3 inches to be perfect. Would definitely recommend an 11" over the 9" if they come out with it. Also agree that I personally don't like the look of the tail windshields on this bike, doesn't really fit the look IMO.

I was looking at that one too and it's kinda the best of both worlds and was thinking of cutting my spare 16" windshield to bolt to it for really tall one if needed.

I am deciding if the Klockwerks actually works as claimed. It would be so easy to show the smoke tests in the wind tunnel they conducted... I am sure it works but I really don't think it works as good as they claim, just saying.

Im sure the smoke test would appear to look perfect. I drive a 2016 F-250 that the wind tunnel test makes it look to cut the wind like a porche. Nope. The klockwerks would be perfect if I were 5'8" to 5' 10" and would recommend it for buffeting if I was that height but at 6' 1" it's just there for looks. and it does look good

Why not show something then that would only appear to support it. All I have heard is hype from Klockwerks but nothing to support it. I have seen on some different forums people not liking them. One even selling theirs. If it was THAT good every windshield would be designed like it IMO a LONG time ago I am sure. Yes I am skeptical - if it sounds too good to be true, chances are it is...

But it sure does look cool!

The splitstream smoked shield on mind measures from the bottom edge at the mount to the top at 10 1/4 and takes wind noise and buffeting right out of the picture. It was only around $75 and looks great too. I am only 5'9 but it still takes the blast right up over my head. It is made from Lucite and real durable a great deal.

That sounds about right as I have a 9" short windshield (unknown) and am 5'8 with 34" seat height and figure I need to move the air up about 2-3 inches more over my head to eliminate the buffeting completely.

I am thinking of getting the two piece (smoked and clear) windshield more and more as I am not buying into the Klockwerks.

I have a 14" Windvest screen on my Voyager, and will put another one the same on it next time I need a screen. The "recurve" top edge really works well to throw the air over the top, but is low enough so that I look over it easily.

I have 3 the voyager one and two smaller ones. I ended up just keeping the tall one on I can have my shades on top my head and they wont blow off. I just look thru the shield not over its no big deal! You look through on a goldwing and also your car/truck.
I quit worrying about looks because nobody else that sees you really cares and I rather be comfortable also when at say a bike rally nobody's even going to pay attention in the mix of a 1000 other bikes

You don't have to look through on a Goldwing as it is adjustable with quick adjust brackets - I had one and always looked over except when it was raining and although it didn't hit me in the face my vision was impaired.

I don't know what glasses you are wearing but my Wylie X glass don't move on my face without a windshield.

I have the slipstreamer 13 inch shield. Painted to keep the bagger look of the stock shield. Perfect for me and passenger. I am 6 ft. Tall

I put the Klokwerks on as soon as I got the bike home (had to ride it a few hundred miles with an 18" to get home) and absolutely love it! I wear a full face a vast majority of the time, but don't have too much of an issue keeping the shades on my face at highway speeds.

BTW, anyone who wants the 18" with the chrome strip, just pay shipping. I'm tired of it in my garage...

There is a huge difference wearing a full face vs a beanie and noticing wind. If your glasses come off wearing a full face there is something wrong with the fit of the helmet.

I would be interested in the windshield PM sent.

FYI I did my first ride with my Mustang seat and realized since it sits me back further I have less buffeting with the same windshield.

15% off and free shipping until end of month. I ordered the 11/18" version which for some reason I couldn't find anywhere except manufacturers website so I asked why?

"We will be running a Black Friday sale starting later today that will go through the end of the month. The TB-KV-OS is currently only available directly through us since it is one of our newer shields that hasn't been released to distributors yet. "
