View Full Version : Daytona Beach Biketoberfest, who's going?

Im am going up on October 16th with my wife on the Vaq. Riding up with another Vaq and a 1500 classic which used to be mine, along some Harley buddies. I hope to run across some of the fine folks on this forum.

Leaving from Coral Springs to Daytona which is about 215 miles. Should take about 4 hours because the wife has to pee every friggin 5 minutes. I keep telling her to stop drinking coffee before a road trip..:lmao:

I'm going up from Boca Raton on the 15th and meeting freinds from NC.

We're staying in Deland.

I'll be coming back on Sunday.

You have the orange bike that you just painted right? We are staying on the Beach at the Daytona Beach Resort and Convention Center. I cant wait. I hope the weather is as nice as last year.

Yes, Lava Orange with a Royal Gold pearl.

I'm hoping the weather is a kittle cooler than now, and hopefully dry.

I try to go every year. We had a great group last year, no drama except for 1 butthole that went with us, however he will no longer be riding with us. I made sure of that. The ride up the coastline to St. Augustine is beautiful going past mansions and prestine beaches.

Let's pick a spot and time so any who want to can meet up.

Maybe Softtails or Lollipops or Molly Browns.

Or for the less daring there is always Hooters.

Its funny your ride people change over the years, I used to ride with about 6 people, now I'm down to me an another guy with some straglers every once in a while. three in that group decided they were done sold their scoots and bought fishing poles, _ _ _ _ that, and some just moved away then they gave it up.

I have been riding with the same group of guys for about 8 years. We have added a few guys and subtracted a few over the years. Mixed brand riders, no metric haters or Harley haters. This one guy was a real asshole and I was about to punch him in the mouth a few weeks ago. Good riddence. Every now and again you have to rid the group of an idiot that brings down the whole fun of the rides.

The plan is to ride down Wednesday evening from Jax and stay with my brother in deltona. We will be at the speedway Thursday morning doing some demos then hit up main st and destination Daytona.

I am under the impression that most of the demo rides are at the AIM Expo in Orlando.

Kawasaki will be in Orlando however Suzuki Yamaha Indian and victory will be at the speedway.

Saturday I will be at the expo with the other half. Taking the cage for that one as she can't ride that far on the back and wants to do some birthday shopping in Orlando before we head back

The cabbage patch is a pisser. My wife hates it though. She says the smell of rotten coleslaw from the wrestling pit makes her want to puke..lol. we stopped going to Iron Horse Saloon too. Way too many drunks mounting their bikes and riding down US 1 in that pitch black darkness.:shrug:

My brother lives about 15 minutes down 415 from the patch so he wants me to go there. I figure it's something I should do at least once along with iron horse. I don't drink anymore so I'm just going for the scenery lol.

Sorry Dude, I never checked the forums when we were up in Daytona. I thought I would have heard from you before I left to go up there. I need to get with RacnRay and see if we can set up a South FL meet and ride. Ray knows some great backroads near Lake Okeechobee.

I've been to many cabbage wrestling matches before. the women of walmart aren't to appealing with sixteen teeth in their head and four of those looked like they were plastic dipped in black.
