Hi everyone, I'm trying to put a set of slip-ons on my nomad. I cant get the gaskets off. Where is a good place to order these from? My local shop wants 59.33 a set, 2-4 days to get them. T.I.A.

Slide the mufflers back in, tighten down the clamp a bit but not a whole lot, gently begin twisting the muffler back and forth while pulling and see if the gaskets slide off. Almost like using the clamp and head pipe as a circular vice grip. Worth a shot.

Saw that in another thread, tried it already.

Then the proverbial pooch has been screwed. Looks like you are waiting 3 days. My left gasket was a bitch. I used a small flat head screwdriver and gently worked the edges all around until it came off intact

partzilla.com has a polaris gasket seal that is supposed to be the same as the Kawi seal - but much cheaper. several other riders have used it and say it works.
I myself used them when I added my V&H's, but I am not signing off on them yet as I am battling an exhaust leak issue with my V&H slipons just added a couple months ago. But these gaskets were the exact size and thickness (by visual inspection) when i took the Kawi gaskets off (had a leak with the reusing of Kawi gaskets when new slipons were put on, so ordered these hoping it would be an easy fix...).
Just FYI - I fully suspect that my issue is with the V&H pipe end that fits into the head pipe not being long enough to fully insert into the head pipes and therefore not compress the gasket fully enough to create the seal needed. I will know more when my re-order of them comes in and I re-do the install once more to rule out any user-error on my part.
but here is the link to them...

Thanks for the link...I'm going to replace my re-used factory ones to try and get rid of some of my decel pop. It's really bad when the motor is cold, maybe as the bike warms up the current ones expand?

For me, it's the opposite. I get decel popping after the bike has warmed up.
I'm still trying to figure out the finer nuances of the gaskets and the exhaust system. It is something that should be so simple. These gaskets appear to me, at least, that it works in a 2 part system -
1. the compression achieved between the 2 pipes from the muffler clamp helps start the process
2. and they should pretty much adhere to the 2 pipes (inside of head and outside of slip-on) due to the heat generated in the pipes and its reaction to the soft content of the gaskets, thus completing the seal needed.
I could be wrong here though... wouldn't be the first time
be sure to also check for any leaks around the throttle body. I also added a Thunder Mfg throttle body gasket to my Voyager that noticeably helped reduce the consistent rapid fire decel popping. I still have it (the decel popping), but I reduced it considerably by adding the throttle body gasket.
The last thing I am dealing with is the same issue that member _Brian_ is having in this post:

I believe if I can get this last issue resolved I may be almost there in getting rid of my decel popping.
