2014 Vaquero.
95% of the time I ride solo. The other 5% my wife rides with me. my setup includes a Corbin dual tour seat, Wompus rack, and a cheap Matuzu (DMY) trunk. (much like the one pictured below)
This worked perfectly fine... until my wife sat on a new Harley... so I ordered the newly redesigned HD tour pak.
its not fully installed yet, but you get the idea...

Well with the Mutazus you get what you pay for. I'm sure that you and your wife will enjoy the HD TourPak.

Man that looks like it was MADE for the Vaquero - good choice!
Singe your wife only rides 5% of the time are you going to make it quick-release? Be sure to post pics of the process and results thanks.

Looks great. How does the Wompas rack install? Does it use hole cutouts in the strut covers like the QR setup does?

It could have been worse, she might have said she wanted you to trade your Vaquero for a Harley :D

The wompus rack is not a quick disconnect system. It takes 3 bolts on either side for a total of six bolts. Visit Wompusracks.com or do a search for specifics..

I love how low the wompus is on the Vaq...it sits about a foot higher on the nomad, or at least it seems to.

The Wompus rack will bolt right into the existing holes for the OEM removable backrest. Just take the original hardware off and bolt the rack right on.
If you want to make your tour trunk a quick release, Wompus will provide you with a 12" x 14" powder coated steel plate (thin gauge but strong), that you can drill to spec to fit the trunk and fasten on top of the OEM Removable Rack and BAM! - you now have a removable tour trunk. OEM racks have the "5lb maximum weight" sticker on it but they're built heavy-duty and will hold way more than 5 lb.
The Wompus takes only a minute to remove in case you don't want to go the quick-release route
