anyone here ever use the brand windvest windshields on their vaquero looking for a well made shield that wont scratch when you look at it, but yet offers good wind protection and looks a little cool, and has a decent thickness to it. didn't get the warm fuzzy's about the klock werks shield either but, haven't ruled it out yet.
opinions needed!

I haven't used the windvest but I'm on my 2nd Clearview(Vaqureo and Nomad) the recurve is awesome for keeping the wind out of your face and very well made. I'm 6'4" and the small is perfect for me...

Clearview makes a quality windshield I also have a Baggershield for hot weather.

I have a 12" light tinted Windvest. The recurve keeps all the wind off me, and is very much better for my passenger than the stocker which I cut down to see over... Perhaps not as much protection as the OEM screen, but there's no way I want to look through one.
I'd get another... I just like the square Windvest shape more than the traditional rounder Clearview etc. It's got that "little bit cool" factor you're looking for.

I think that too, its shape just looks better. I wish I had friends with vaquero's and they could pull up side by side each with a different shield that way I could choose, that aint gonna happen. that would be a perfect world. I'm 5'11 and I'm also thinking about a 9" shield all black, not sure the dark tint is dark enough for my liking.
I need to have the ol lady measure for me when I sit on the bike to be sure
and hope she don't poke me in the eye.

Stability, also looks good. much better in person. and thanks trying to talk the family into the driving lights for Fathers Day... will see how that works out...
I forgot to mention... Windvest don't actually do a 12" for a Voyager / Vaq. But they do one for an HD Ultra. I just got that one, and cut the bottom tabs off straight & drilled two new mounting holes. So not a straight bolt on... The clawback is that HD screens are cheaper, so I saved a few bucks.

so how do you like the tint on your screen is it too dark that is the way, I'm leaning ( that what they call black and not dark tint right ? )

I have a 10' smoked v-stream split streamer on mine. Excellent wind protection and made from scratch-free Lucite. I ordered it from Westend motorsports in Pennsylvania for just over $60.00 I think it was, a real high grade piece at half or less the price of the other brands and a perfect fit.
