Installed my Cobra True Duals yesterday. Aside from the intense heat, installation was pretty easy. Removal of the old exhaust went real smooth. I wore gloves to keep from putting fingerprints on the chrome. I used chrome polish on all of the chrome parts after wards just to make sure. I was sweating so much from the heat, that I am not so sure that the gloves helped much, not to mention that I dripped more than once on the pipes.
I only went for a short ride after wards, to the shop for oil change and general look over in prep for the Eastern Rally, but the pipes sounded real nice. If I did not lean on the throttle it sounded much like stock, but deeper.
Here are some pictures.

Nice looking pipes. I have them on my 06. You will find that the chrome where the exhaust comes out of the end of the pipes will look dirty after 100 miles or so. I use Meguiar's Fine Scratch and Swirl Remover to clean the crud that accumulates there. Makes the end of the pipes look like they are right out of the box again.

Nice looking pipes. I got the tapered tips on mine, but I like the look of yours better.

Those look great on your scooter.... The temps here have been up there as well, but its the darn humidity that does me in..

Them Thar Pipes Look Really Good http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif. The V&H are the way I went, 'cause I have herd both, and I wanted a little deeper rumble than the Cobras. I do like the way Cobras heat shields are, better than the V&H. On the V&H, the #2 shield just "ends" right before it turns to go under to the other side ???. Seems like for the $$$, they could have curled the heat shield at least around the bend in the head pipe ???

pipes look awesome. I went with V&H myself, i agree about that rear heatshield stopping short.
I have the V&H too but I think the tips on the Cobra look better as does the 2nd heat shield.

Were you able to do a sound clip? I have heard the V&Hs but not the Cobra. I wonder if the tips change the sound too.
Looks great http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif
