Haven't posted or rode for a week or so due to a stubborn Kidney stone. Didn't know pain came in that kind of form, but holly cow!!! it sure hurts. Saw the doc on Friday and he has given me until Tuesday to pass it or he's going in after it :-[ Means a few weeks off work but they'll survive without me for that time. During the non pain times, I've been out in the garage and installed Chucksters 2" risers, a windshield bag, and soon , some new highway pegs when they come in the next few days. Hope to be back in the saddle soon because the weather has been real nice. I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them. Take care all

My co-worker's dad just had one removed. It was 11mm x 22mm. They used a catheter to get it out, and he might have been in the hospital 2 days at most. The worst is they left a stent in for a few days for the ureter to heal, and he had to pull it out himself, but he fine now.

I had lithotripsy's (sonic booms) on both kidneys one month apart in 1999. 5 stones in one and 7 in the other. I think I lost a couple of pounds after passing the sand. In all seriousness, speak to your urologist about a lithotripsy over surgery if the stone(s) is still in your kidney. If it's somewhere else he doesn't have much of a choice but to go in and get it. Good luck, I know your pain...

Feel sorry for you pardner. Been there and done that. My doctor said that is the nearest thing a man will every experience that is close to child birth.
Ouch Voyager. Sorry your filters are cloggin up on ya. I'm with terrebonne_nomad though. if lithotripsy is an option seems that would be preferable to surgical removal. Friend of mine has had recurrent bouts with stones and had good success with Litho method. Still fighting re-current stones, but hasnt had surgery yet.
