Okay so I go to the Michelin motorcycle site and see what I can learn. In their Little Brand matcher app They dont have nomads listed but they do have some 1500's. There is no mention of the 1600's at all and two classes of 1700's . The Voyager and Voyager custom(?). I put in 1500 classic and it gives me the Commander ll tire as the only option. I feed in the 1700 and it comes back and says Michelin makes tires for 3000 motorcycles but not that one.. WTF.. Any further input on this ?? :hmm::hmm:

In checking further, Michelin states the 130/90/16 has a load rating of 73 and the 150/80/16 has a load rating of 77 . Now here I have a question; the load ratings are the maximum load pressure for a single tire, since we are running "two" tires would you take the weight of fuel/driver/passenger/gear/accesories and divide by 2 to get the proper weight factor for each tire or this already figured into the equation and the posted load weights are regardless of one or two tires ?

Okay, Seems that pretty much all the tire makers have the same load rating with very little difference. I checked Avon, Dunlop, Bridgestone, Pirelli. They all have the same load rating as the Commander ll tires. Until I can find otherwise, I'm going to pretty much figure total weight divided by 2 for an individual load rating.

I, as many others, do use Commander IIs on the 1700. The front for the Voyager is stock size 130/90/16. The rear is a nonstock size 180/65/16 with no issues.

You can't divide by two because the weight isn't evenly distributed nor is it the same as you ride it. Rear loads up when you take off, front loads up when you slow down/brake. Just make sure the tires you buy have the same or greater load rating as what came with it when new and you are fine.
