The Boston marathon bomber's trail started today. His lawyer said he was guilty in her opening statement. The trail is suppose to last 4 months so they can try to say that he was brainwashed by his older brother. Good luck with that. They should just hand him over to the people and be done with him.

I agree, let the victims and the victims families mete out punishment.

They found him guilty on all counts today after month long trail. The penalty phase start next Monday. I can't believe the government didn't just take a plea deal for life in prison instead of going to trail and wasting all that time and money. His lawyer said that he did it at the beginning of the trail. His lawyer is just trying to get him spared from the death penalty. Either way this and the Aaron Hernandez trail will both be over shortly and we won't have to see their faces again.

Our legal system is lengthy, maybe a bit archaic, but thank god we have it. It is one of the things that separates us from the rest of the world. Turning guilty people over to the public to meek out punishment is what they do. Just like the 17 year girl that was stoned to death because she was seeing a boy from another village. Oh yeah, that turned out to be wrong she wasn't really seeing this guy, but what the hay, mistakes are made every once in a while, they'll be more careful on the next teenager they stone to death. Is our system perfect ? No. Is it better than everyone else. Yes. It is one the main anchors that makes sure that our Constitution works, not just for a few but for everyone. Is the bomber guilty. In my opinion he his, but he still has the right to due process of the law to give him every opportunity to show otherwise.

The cost to get rid of this guy is insane.

If he gets life in prison it will cost the tax payers a minimum of $1,473,304 if he lives until 77 years old.

If they put him to death it will cost a minimum of 96.5 million.

Somebody should have just taken the shot when they had him surrounded in the boat.

Such a shame to spend these huge amounts of money, I wish it was cheaper.

Today his mother jumped up in court and stated that her boys are innocent and were framed by the US government on this crime. But later they caught her in the lobby putting up a poster for a bridge she was selling in New York City.

 The mother is on the run in Russia. She has a warrant out for her in Massachusetts for shoplifting and destruction of personal property. The 2 looser sisters are suppose to show up for the sentencing hearing.
